Willem van Scheijndel is a singleton in the contemporary art landscape. He's constantly growing, as a human, as an artist, listening to what his heart and soul have to say; never remitting and always working, being isolated from the world during daytime.

The idea that beauty can not thrive amid chaos is typical of his work. He always desires a certain geometry and system in his work. Willem van Scheijndel: "Being in transit, that's my inspiration. I experience that as a proces of growth, a proces with no end. It's my personal ambition to, when I'm seventy, make paintings that leave me completely lost for words."
