Boule rouge Tout va mieux Trasse rouge
Yvon Van Lancker

Born in Elisabethville in Belgian Congo in 1955, the artist was bathed fron a very young age in the milieux of art and spectacles: his dad was the director of Elisabethville's theatres. When he started working he followed in his father's footsteps, working on spectacles worldwide with people like Franco Dragone. But his desire to 'create' pictures was never extinguished. He started painting, trying to fixate a moment, convey an emotion, situation or event through a 'sign language' in specific atmospheres. Calling himself a "work and research bulimic", he's since constantly been seeking to develop and improve his techniques to get closer and closer to his feelings and emotions, usually using acryclic paint on square canvasses.
